The 2023 EULAR Congress of Rheumatology will commence as an exclusively in-person meeting, nixing the live remote option that has been in place since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, the organization’s president announced.
“EULAR recognizes the pivotal role face-to-face interactions play for our doctors, delegates, and patients, and we appreciate the importance, value, and benefits of an onsite congress experience,” EULAR President Annamaria Iagnocco, MD, said in a statement. “Therefore, we are excited to announce that in 2023 we are shifting to our original onsite-only congress experience, with on-demand access available after the live congress days.”
The meeting is scheduled for May 31 through June 3, 2023, in Milan. Registration for onsite tickets begins Nov. 1. Content recorded from the meeting will be available in an on-demand fashion after the event is over, according to the EULAR president’s statement.
“We look forward to returning to a city that acknowledges our organization and supports its three pillars and communities, aiming to reduce the impact of [rheumatic and musculoskeletal diseases (RMDs)] on those afflicted and improve their social position and quality of life,” Iagnocco said. “We look forward to sharing our new strategy for 2024 to 2028, recent developments in rheumatology, scientific sessions, abstracts and more.”
