In this video from ACR Convergence 2021, Kathryn Dao, MD, highlighted cardiovascular risk factors to be aware of when prescribing JAK inhibitors for patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

Dao, associate professor in the department of internal medicine’s division of rheumatology at UT Southwestern Medical Center, discussed two presentations. One was an oral surveillance of risk factors, while the other collected real-world data. Both reported similar conclusions.

“I thought that was really interesting,” she said. “It can help dictate your practice.”
