In this video, Jeffrey A. Sparks, MD, MMSc, associate physician at Brigham and Women’s Hospital, talked about adapting practice to telehealth during the COVID-19 pandemic.

One study presented at ACR 2020 reported on the efficacy of a new tool, a patient-based clinical disease activity index (PT-CDAI).

According to Sparks, who also serves as an assistant professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School, PT-CDAI was “remarkably consistent” when compared with the traditional CDAI.

“This is really going to be a game changer in the future when it’s further validated,” he said. “I’m actually going to incorporate this into my practice for virtual visits.”
