The Johns Hopkins Hospital has been recognized by U.S. News & World Report as the top-ranked hospital in the country for rheumatology for the 2017 to 2018 year.

“We all know that these types of accomplishments do not occur in a vacuum,” Redonda G. Miller, MD, MBA, president of The Johns Hopkins Hospital, said in a press release from Johns Hopkins Medicine. “Rather, they are the result of the foresight, planning and dedicated efforts of thousands of employees who are committed to ensuring that the care we provide is world-class and who are focused on what is most important: the needs of our patients and their families.”

According to a press release, there were approximately 152 hospitals nationally ranked in at least one specialty. Overall, U.S. News & World Reports compared almost 4,500 medical centers around the country in 25 specialties, procedures and conditions. The publication also ranked 535 of the best regional hospitals in the states and metropolitan areas according to performance.
