WASHINGTON — At the American College of Rheumatology Annual Meeting, Robert Terkeltaub, MD, in the division of rheumatology at the VA Medical Center in San Diego, California, reviewed his pooled safety study from the phase 3 program of lesinurad in gout in which there was an increase in safety signal.
As a take-home message for clinical practices, Terkeltaub said it is important to use lesinurad in combination with a xanthine oxidase inhibitor (XOI).
