CLEVELAND — At the Rheumatology Nurses Society Annual Conference, Iris Zink, MSN, RN, ANP-BC, president of the Rheumatology Nurses Society, provided an update on the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC), a new board certification available to rheumatology nurses.

Zink said the ANCC certification is done through portfolio assessment. Rheumatology nurses document their skills, knowledge, abilities and career accomplishments as part of their application, which is then peer reviewed by nurse experts.
