In this video, Sandhya Khurana, MD, FCCP, discusses highlights from her presentation on advances in severe asthma at CHEST Annual Meeting.

“We were fortunate to present a half-day postgraduate course at CHEST 2022,” Khurana, director of the Mary Parkes Center for Asthma, Allergy and Pulmonary Care and professor of pulmonary and critical care medicine at the University of Rochester Medical Center, told Healio.

“We had an update on using really personalized or precision medicine on patients with severe asthma, an update on biomarkers [and] recent data on some of the newer biologics,” she said. “We talked about the guidelines and updates from the updated NIH and GINA guidelines and how that pertains to moderate to severe asthma.”
