NASHVILLE, Tenn. — In this Healio exclusive, Jaspal Singh, MD, FCCP, discusses trends and advancements coming out of the CHEST Annual Meeting.

An overall message from this year’s meeting, he said, is increasing strategies and the urgency of lung cancer screening. “We are not screening nearly the number of patients eligible," he said.

Singh also highlights advances in education and bite-sized learning sessions available on the CHEST website for busy physicians to incorporate into their schedules as they have time.

“There is a lot to be excited about,” Singh said.

Singh is chair of the CHEST Mechanical Ventilation Domain Task Force as well as a pulmonary and critical care physician and medical director for Innovation and Quality Improvement for Pulmonary Oncology at Atrium Health Levine Cancer Institute and for Critical Care Practice and Education at the Jan & Ed Brown Center for Pulmonary Medicine in Charlotte, North Carolina.
