The Honor Roll is a distinction awarded to hospitals ranked in the top 20 nationally for delivering exceptional treatment across multiple areas of care, according to a press release.

“This year’s expanded report from U.S. News includes new ratings for important procedures and conditions to help patients, in consultation with their doctors, narrow down their choice of hospital based on the specific type of care they need,” Ben Harder, chief of health analysis and managing editor at U.S. News & World Report, said in the release.

Data in the 2021-2022 report were obtained from a period predating COVID-19 and the rankings were not impacted by the pandemic’s effect on US hospitals, according to the release.
