Adult patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder and ADHD experienced earlier onset of and more severe obsessive-compulsive symptoms, according to a large cross-sectional study.

The FDA has permitted marketing of the first, prescription-only medical device for ADHD — the Monarch external Trigeminal Nerve Stimulation, or eTNS, System — for children aged 7 to12 years not currently taking prescription ADHD medication, according to a press release.

In a large birth cohort study, researchers found that preschool-aged children who had 2 hours of screen time per day were at increased risk for clinically significant externalizing problems, inattention problems and ADHD.
