NEW ORLEANS – American Psychiatric Association president-elect Rebecca W. Brendel, MD, JD, told Healio she is thrilled to be back in person at the APA annual meeting.

“Some of the things we are really looking forward to at this meeting are thinking about innovative models of care, how we are going to address the social and structural barriers that prevent our patients and all Americans from accessing mental health care and to reconnecting, in-person, live to think about the future of psychiatry,” Brendel said.
