Psychiatric Annals unveils new editor, format in April 2018 issue

SLACK Incorporated has named Andrew A. Nierenberg, MD, the new Editor of Psychiatric Annals, according to a press release issued by the company.
Along with the new leadership, Psych Annals will introduce an updated format that features a mix of peer-reviewed integrative and systematic reviews, original research and case reports with in-depth diagnosis and treatment data as of the April 2018 issue.
Psych Annals will also contain a new design in print and the most up-to-date news headlines and perspectives from clinicians featured on Healio.com/Psychiatry in its monthly print and online issues. A new editorial board, including CME Editor, Lenard Adler, MD, of NYU Langone Health, will be introduced as well. The journal will continue to offer single-topic clinical review articles for CME credit.
Nierenberg, director of the Dauten Family Center for Bipolar Treatment Innovation at Massachusetts General Hospital, and professor of psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, succeeds Jan Fawcett, MD, Psych Annals Editor for more than decades.

“I am thrilled to become the editor of Psychiatric Annals and lead our readers into the next phase of the journal,” Nierenberg said in the release. “As we build on 40 years of editorial successes, we’re certain the journal will continue its trajectory as a leading source of clinically relevant, impactful specialty information.”
Psych Annals continues to accept clinical research papers for publication. Detailed information for author submissions can be found at www.healio.com/psychannals.
