SAN DIEGO — Approximately 20% of individuals who experience intimate partner violence within one year develop new onset mental health problems, according to Mayumi Okuda Benavides, MD, of Columbia University and New York-Presbyterian.

In this video, Benavides explains progress she and colleagues have achieved to combat these adverse outcomes associated with domestic violence.
