ATLANTA — In this video, Renée Binder, MD, president of the American Psychiatric Association, discusses highlights of the annual meeting.

Tom Frieden, MD, MPH, director of the CDC, will discuss the overlap between public health and mental health, as shown through the national opioid epidemic and suicide rates.

Stephen Breyer, an associate justice of the Supreme Court of the United States, will discuss the different interpretations of constitutional law, as well as a book he has written exploring the role of American law and world law.

A parity task force public forum will also take place, which will give practicing psychiatrists and mental health clinicians the opportunity to discuss how parity affects their practice on a daily basis.
