NEW YORK — In this video from the Infectious Diseases in Children Symposium, Yvonne A. Maldonado, MD, discusses three emerging or reemerging infectious diseases: polio, monkeypox and highly pathogenic avian influenza virus.

“All in all, we have strategies to prevent all of these infections … especially in children,” said Maldonado, a professor of global health and infectious diseases and chief of pediatric infectious diseases at Stanford University School of Medicine.
