Artificial intelligence-assisted colonoscopy improved the overall detection of adenomas compared with conventional colonoscopy, according to a recent study.

In light of the findings, researchers said “it is time to consider generalizing the use of AI-assisted endoscopy in the gastrointestinal tract.” It was the top story in gastroenterology last week.
