In this video, Teri Campbell, MSN, RN, CFRN, CEN, PHRN, highlights a lecture from the Emergency Nurses Association annual conference about conscious and unconscious biases in health care.
Campbell, flight nurse with the University of Chicago hospitals and executive director of the Illinois Heart Rescue at the University of Illinois at Chicago, also noted the focus on addressing diversity in the ED workforce.
“Nursing, as a population, has very poor representation for minorities,” she said.
