VIDEO: Organizational betrayal during pandemic impacted emergency nurses

In this video, Lisa A. Wolf, PhD, RN, CEN, FAEN, FAAN, discusses the major concerns of health care workers during the pandemic.

According to Wolf, director of the Institute for Emergency Nursing Research at the Emergency Nurses Association, the focus on PPE during the first few months of the pandemic was a “proxy for help.”

“The real takeaway from some of this data is that nurses don’t want to be heroes because when you call someone a hero, you don’t have to help them,” she said.
