VIDEO: Healio prepares for Women in Medicine Summit

This year’s Women in Medicine Summit will be held virtually on Oct. 9-10. The conference will address disparities in compensation, promotion and other career advancement opportunities among women in health care.

In this video, Shikha Jain, MD, FACP, chair and founder of the summit, discusses her goals for the meeting and how it can create opportunities for mentorship and promote leadership among women.

“Our hope is that through this summit, we are able to educate and then also arm people with skills and plans to intentionally make the changes that we need at a national level to close the gender gap that exists in medicine,” she told Healio Primary Care.
