Healio has launched a new, fully reengineered version of its website, delivering personalized news and education in an enhanced user experience to specialty health care professionals, the company announced.
“As a company and online platform, Healio has always been dedicated to the medical specialist,” Joan-Marie Stiglich, ELS, chief content officer of Healio, said in a press release. “In that same spirit, and after extensive usability testing with [health care personnel], we set out to give users what they want most — a site that is easy to use and delivers trusted content relevant to their practice.”
According to the release, the new site offers user experience norms designed to create a cohesive user experience across Healio. These standards — from colors and fonts to instructional language — ensure that users can clearly focus on the content they came for and easily navigate to the next item of interest. A cleaner and more open design improves the reading experience, highlighting key points with convenient prompts to related content, the company said.
Some of the key features of the new Healio include:
- transparent author and disclosure information;
- simplified navigation;
- more personalization;
- new functionality that estimates the time it takes to read an article and allows readers to save articles for future use; and
- dedicated author pages.
Additionally, the revamped site uses a proprietary keyword tagging system called Healiologix to significantly increase the number of personalized features on the site. According to the company, Healiologix pairs leading keyword tagging and indexing systems with editorial content expertise, providing users with an enriched keyword result that allows them to dive deeper into areas of interest and offers more relevant recommendations to related content.
