ACP Internal Medicine Meeting highlights clinical, health care reform updates

NEW ORLEANS — Healio Internal Medicine and Healio Family Medicine will offer comprehensive live coverage of the latest medical advances presented at the annual ACP Internal Medicine Meeting, taking place from April 19 to April 21.

The conference, which is the largest annual gathering of internists from around the world, will feature more than 200 sessions on a wide array of clinical updates and health care policy, finance and reform topics.

Karen DeSalvo , MD, MPH, MSc, former acting assistant secretary for health at HHS, will deliver the keynote address at the Opening Ceremony on Thursday, focusing on health care lessons, infrastructure and the community impacts of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.
