Harvard named top internal medicine program by US News & World Report
Harvard University has been named the best program for internal medicine training in the United States, as part of the 2017 edition of U.S. News & World Report’s Best Medical Schools survey.
Harvard University was also awarded best women's health program, Johns Hopkins University was awarded best geriatrics program, and the University of Washington was awarded best primary care program.
The 2017 top medical schools for internal medicine in the survey:
1. Harvard University;
2. Johns Hopkins University;
3. University of California, San Francisco;
4. Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania;
5. Duke University;
6. University of Michigan, Ann Arbor;
7. University of Washington;
8. Washington University in St. Louis;
9. Columbia University;
10. (tie) Stanford University; and
10. (tie) Vanderbilt University.
Data from the report were compiled by U.S. News & World Report and rely on expert opinions and statistical indicators to measure and rank the quality of graduate school programs. To compile the data, administrators, academics and professionals were surveyed between 2015 and 2016.
