David E. Tunkel, MD, is the director of pediatric otolaryngology at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center.

He evaluates and treats children with routine ear, nose and throat diseases as well as complex conditions affecting hearing and airway function. He is also the chairperson for clinical guideline development for the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and has led practice guideline panels on tinnitus, epistaxis, otitis media and tympanostomy tubes, and neck masses.
