Target Audience:
The intended audience for this activity is pediatricians, pediatric nurse practitioners, and other health care professionals involved in the treatment of pediatric conjunctivitis.

Learning Objectives: At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  • Incorporate management strategies for bacterial conjunctivitis that will lead to decreased rates of antibiotic resistance.
  • Evaluate antibiotic options for bacterial conjunctivitis in terms of potency and spectrum of activity.
  • Initiate antibiotic pharmacotherapy for bacterial conjunctivitis in dosing schedules that will result in high rates of compliance.
