KOLOA, Hawaii — In this video, Aaron J. Krych, MD, highlights key discussions held during a session on meniscus tears and treatment at Orthopedics Today Hawaii.

“We had great discussions from world-class orthopedic surgeons and, also, radiologists,” Krych told Healio. “We debated best indications for repair. When do we treat these nonoperatively? If we treat them with repair, what is the best repair configuration? How are we repairing these in an efficient and reproducible manner?

“We talked about orthobiologics and their role in meniscus repair, and we talked a lot on rehabilitation and how we bring those patients back from their injury to their activity and return to sport. Overall, [it was] an engaging session.”
