The company reported orthopedics revenue increased 4.4%; sports medicine and ear, nose and throat revenue increased 5.5%; and advanced wound management decreased 2% in the quarter.
“Our 12-point plan is on-track and the progress in orthopedics was again evident from the strong growth across most segments, and we expect the remainder to improve as the year progresses,” Deepak Nath, CEO of Smith & Nephew, said in the release. “We are confident in our outlook and look forward to all three of our business units contributing as we deliver another year of strong revenue growth.”
