Orthofix Medical Inc. has announced Massimo Calafiore as incoming president and CEO, according to company press release.

Calafiore, who serves as CEO of LimaCorporate SpA, is expected to assume his new roles with Orthofix in early 2024, following the completion of Enovis Corporation’s acquisition of LimaCorporate. Calafiore is also expected to join the board of directors at Orthofix. He will succeed Catherine Burzik, who serves as interim CEO and chair of the board of directors.

Calafiore, who earned his Master of Science in mechanical engineering at the University of Catania and his Master of Business from New York University, had previously served as executive vice president and chief commercial officer at NuVasive Inc.
