GRAPEVINE, Texas — In this video, Javad Parvizi, MD, president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, recaps and discusses the AAHKS Annual Meeting, which took place Nov. 2 to 5.

“I’m biased, but I will tell you that, based on my impression over the last 20-odd years of being a member of AAHKS, I think it’s the most important arthroplasty meeting in the world,” Parvizi, professor of orthopedics at Acibadem University in Istanbul and emeritus professor at Thomas Jefferson University, told Healio. “Everything that is presented at AAHKS ... are all original research and it is very unlikely that anybody has heard from before.”

He continued, “I’m extremely humbled, proud and privileged to have served as the president of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons this year. I will continue to be committed to our mission, which is to make the lives of our patients better.”
