Hospital for Special Surgery has announced Mary E. Cassai, MPA, BSN, RN, NEA-BC, as executive vice president and chief operating officer, according to a press release.
Cassai had previously served in multiple roles in her 16 years at New York-Presbyterian, serving as senior vice president of perioperative services before joining Hospital for Special Surgery (HSS).
“HSS is one of the most admirable organizations of any kind, and famously home to the most talented people committed to advancing excellence in every way,” Cassai said in the release. “I could not be more humbled and excited to help the organization and my new colleagues to become even better together,” she added.
Cassai will officially join HSS on Aug. 14. She will report to Bryan T. Kelly, MD, MBA, president, surgeon-in-chief and medical director of HSS.
