KOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii, Jack M. Bert, MD, spoke about bundled payment systems for orthopedic providers to attract employers.

“[Musculoskeletal care] is still the major expense for employers’ health care costs, which are upward of $15,000 per employee in 2022,” he said. “It’s higher than cancer care, which has always fascinated me,” Bert added.

“I urge orthopedic groups to consider setting up a bundle payment system with their group, and then they will be attractive to employers in the future,” he concluded.
