CHICAGO — In this video, Heidi Prather, DO, discusses the importance of mentors, the molds they can fill in a surgeon’s career and what her mentors have instilled in her career.
“I hope everyone can find somebody who can champion them for, not just their career, but for their family life and for their aspirations outside of work and how to meld all of that together,” Prather, physiatrist at Hospital for Special Surgery, told Healio. “When you find that special person, maintain that relationship and nurture it. It lasts you a lifetime.”
