CHICAGO — In this video from the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, Zach Pinter, MD, discussed lumbar facet arthroplasty with a total posterior spine system device for patients with spondylolisthesis and stenosis.

“The [total posterior spine system] device is able to recreate normal physiologic motion at these segments. There’s no loss of motion,” Pinter said. “It’s able to stabilize the spondylolisthesis and prevent that from worsening, while also being associated with a low complication profile – that’s similar to [transforaminal lumbar interbody fusion] – and improved patient-reported outcome measures in these patients at 1 year postoperatively,” he added.
