Smith & Nephew names Deepak Nath, PhD, as new CEO

Smith & Nephew has appointed Deepak Nath, PhD, as the company’s new CEO, according to a press release.
Nath, who previously served as the president of diagnostics at Siemens Healthineers, will succeed Roland Diggelmann on April 1.
“It has been a privilege to lead Smith & Nephew,” Diggelmann said in the release. “I would like to thank my colleagues across the business for their tireless efforts to support our customers and communities and continue to deliver against the backdrop of COVID-19. I look forward to seeing the business go from strength to strength under Deepak's leadership,” Diggelmann said.
