WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2022, Michael J. Stuart, MD, spoke about the importance of preserving the meniscus for the long-term health of the knee.
“When possible, we need to preserve the meniscus,” he said. “The consequences of a meniscectomized knee are concerning, because our young patients will develop post-meniscectomy arthritis. That is a difficult problem to treat.”
