WAIKOLOA, Hawaii — In this video from Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2022, Pamela J. Lund, MD, spoke on new techniques for MRI of articular cartilage abnormalities.

“With the advent of machine learning and artificial intelligence, we are now able to obtain that quantitative information about the articular cartilage easier,” she said. “Eventually, it’s going to be helpful to orthopedics, especially for initially diagnosing chondral abnormalities and also following the patients after they’ve had chondral surgery.”
