Stryker launches new femur nailing solution

Stryker announced the launch of its new nailing solution, the T2 Alpha Femur Retrograde Nailing System, according to a company press release.
According to the release, the system is designed to meet surgeon preferences with improved ease of use during procedures. The system reportedly provides axial stability for surgeons through an advanced locking screw option designed to limit motion between the nail and screw, as well as a guided, proximal targeting system designed to reduce the number of X-rays taken compared with freehand locking.
According to release, the nailing solution is built to meet unique case needs by including innovations such as data-driven designed nails that provide a variety of sizes and radii of curvature to fit diverse anatomical patient needs.
“Stryker has made significant investments in the T2 Alpha Femur Retrograde Nailing System’s instrumentation platform,” Eric Tamweber, vice president and general manager of trauma business for Stryker, said in the release. “We are excited to now have a complete lower extremity T2 Alpha nailing platform available for our surgeon customers.”
