DePuy Synthes announced the launch of the Variable Angle Locking Compression Plate system, according to a press release.

The 2.7-mm plate system is designed to enhance plate-to-bone fit in a variety of patients with lateral, shaft and medial clavicle fractures of all sizes.

“There is a tremendous need for treatment options that can accommodate the anatomic variability of the clavicle in patients who experience these types of fractures,” I.V. Hall, worldwide president of trauma and extremities at DePuy Synthes, said in the release. “We are incredibly proud to offer this new system as part of our comprehensive extremities portfolio,” Hall added.
