Expandable lumbar cage system from DePuy Synthes to be distributed in the US

DePuy Synthes has signed an agreement with Expanding Innovations Inc. to distribute its expandable lumbar cage system, which provides lumbar degenerative and spine segment procedural solutions, in the United States.
“We are incredibly excited to collaborate with the Expanding Innovations team to bring the X-Pac Cage technology to U.S. spine surgeons,” Russell Powers, president of DePuy Synthes Spine, said in a company press release.
The lumbar cage system from DePuy Synthes provides tailored treatment options for spinal fusion surgery with controlled expansion of height and lordosis, allowing for adjustment depending on a patient’s clinical needs, according to the release.
“This next-generation technology is well aligned with our robust portfolio and continued commitment to improve minimally invasive surgery, and we look forward to bringing this important innovation forward as a new option for patients,” Powers said.
