Smith & Nephew announced its RI.INSIGHTS platform, a database that will allow surgeons to review information and analytics on robotic-assisted surgical procedures, according to a press release.

The platform will compile surgical experiences and data to improve surgical planning and patient-reported outcome measures, according to the release. The platform, which is the latest addition to Smith & Nephew’s Real Intelligence portfolio, is scheduled to be commercially released in 2021.

“The launch of RI.INSIGHTS further strengthens Smith & Nephew’s Real Intelligence platform and underscores our advancement into digital health,” Skip Kiil, president of global orthopedics for Smith & Nephew, said in the release. “We are excited for surgeons to start using the insights provided by strong clinical data collected by the platform to drive improved patient outcomes,” he added.
