Think Surgical partners with United Orthopedic on total knee replacement technology

Think Surgical Inc. has partnered with United Orthopedic Corporation USA to duly support the TSolution One total knee application to harness “the advantages of each company’s current pioneering technology,” according to a press release.

The collaboration will combine the active robot technology of the TSolution One total knee application from Think Surgical with the U2 knee system from United Orthopedic Corporation to provide an option for total knee arthroplasty.

“Combined with United’s quarter-century reputation as a reliable manufacturer in the medical device space, Think’s expertise in active robot technologies will offer surgeons more precision and accuracy as they perform personalized, robot-assisted total knee replacement surgeries,” Jay Yang, acting CEO of Think Surgical, said in the release. “This collaboration allows us to expand our commitment to surgeons, helping them to achieve the best possible outcomes for their patients,” he said.

Calvin Lin, the president of United Orthopedic, shared his thoughts on the partnership.
