Stryker reports increase in sales and adjusted earnings per share for third-quarter 2019 results

Stryker reported its third-quarter operating results for 2019.

“We delivered another strong quarter of results, with organic sales growth of 8.6% and adjusted [earnings per share] EPS growth of 13%,” Kevin A. Lobo, Stryker’s chair and CEO, said in a company press release. “We expect this momentum to continue, which positions us well to deliver above the high end of our initial guidance range for both organic sales and adjusted EPS.”

According to the release, Stryker’s reported net sales increased a total of 10.6%, organic net sales increased 8.6% and adjusted EPS increased 13%. Stryker’s reported net earnings of $466 million decreased by 21% in the third quarter and adjusted net earnings of $725 million increased 12.8% in the quarter.
