EFORT will hold a guest symposium in collaboration with the European Society for Trauma and Emergency Surgery during the European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery on Sunday 5 May at 16:00 CT.

ECTES 2019 banner

The annual European Congress of Trauma and Emergency Surgery (ECTES) takes place 5 to 8 May in Prague. The EFORT symposium entitled “Implant-related Infection” is organized by the Trauma Education Group of EFORT.

Lectures during the symposium cover some of the following topics:

  • diagnostics and definition of implant-related infection;
  • maintenance of hardware – Yes or no?;
  • infected non-union – What to do?; and
  • local and/or systemic antibiotic treatment.
