VIDEO: Patient satisfaction should not be used to predict functional outcomes for total shoulder arthroplasty
LAS VEGAS — At the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting, Leesa M. Galatz, MD, discussed a study that looked at patient satisfaction after total shoulder arthroplasty. She said functional outcomes are most important to patients after surgery; however, patient satisfaction did not correlate with functional outcome scores.
