Zimmer Biomet Holdings Inc. announced its latest commercial offerings and next generation of technological innovations at the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons Annual Meeting in Las Vegas.

“In addition to our ongoing commitment to advancing our traditional implant offering, Zimmer Biomet is transforming the patient journey through an ecosystem of differentiated solutions to provide more personalized care for the patient,” Bryan C. Hanson, president and CEO of Zimmer Biomet, said in a company press release. “We’re looking forward to unveiling at AAOS our latest innovation, ROSA Knee, which leverages over 10 years of robotics experience and offers a differentiated, effective and efficient approach to robotic total knee surgery.”

According to the release, the ROSA Knee is a surgeon-driven system designed to help optimize accuracy and efficiency in executing a total knee replacement. The system features both X-Atlas 2-D X-ray to 3-D imaging technology and imageless capabilities and provides intraoperative, real-time feedback about the patient’s anatomy and soft tissues.

Zimmer Biomet mymobility is a wearable care management system that uses the iPhone and Apple Watch to link patients and their surgical care teams. Mymobility collects and manages objective data regarding patients’ surgical preparation and recovery.

Another addition to Zimmer Biomet’s available commercial offerings is the Persona Partial Knee, which provides compartment-specific shapes, fine sizing increments and reduced surgical steps, and the new Persona Primary Trabecular Metal Tibia, which addresses cementless knee applications.

The Persona Revision Knee System completes the Persona platform and offers anatomic components designed to match a patient’s unique anatomy and surgical technique options to accommodate the surgeon’s preferred approach. Zimmer Biomet also added the Persona Complete Knee System, which reportedly equips surgeons with a comprehensive system of implants and instruments designed to improve fit and efficiency in the OR.
