The international conference about advanced treatment of hip and knee pathology will be held 25 to 26 April 2019 in Kharkiv, Ukraine. This conference is organized by Sytenko Institute of Spine and Joint Pathology, which is the oldest research and educational institution in Ukraine and a leading institution in orthopaedic surgery that uses cutting-edge techniques and approaches.
The conference is supported by the Ukrainian Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons and Traumatologists. Twice we organized such a conference in cooperation with the European Hip Society (EHS), and this is the first year we are honored to be working in partnership with EFORT. The educational value of the conference is determined by the fact that this event is accredited by the European Orthopaedics & Traumatology Education Platform (EOTEP).
This is 2-day event with 12 symposiums which will discuss modern conceptions in hip and knee pathology, including conservative treatment, joint preservation surgery, complex primary and revision surgery, with particular attention to prophylaxis and management of complications, novelties in diagnosis and treatment of prosthetic joint infection.
The faculty consists of 31 speakers, including the EFORT president Prof. Per Kjærsgaard-Andersen, the EFORT treasurer Prof. Karachalios Theofilos, the chair of the EHS Educational Committee Prof. Gosta Ullmark, the EHS president elect Prof. Klaus Siebenrock, member of EHS Scientific Committee Prof. Francesco Benazzo and other world experts in hip and knee pathology.
The agenda also includes a Best Paper Award Session. The papers will be reviewed by the distinguished board of experts and best papers will be presented by the authors during the session, and they will be awarded with grants. All the details can be found at http://conference-orthopaedics.com.
An extra treat for participants will be visiting our beautiful and hospitable city, the first historical capital of Ukraine. This is a city of parks and universities, friendly and hearty people, and delicious cuisine. We are looking forward to meeting you here.
