Sports medicine surgeon joins Rothman Orthopaedic Institute
Rothman Orthopaedic Institute announced sports medicine surgeon, Frank Alberta, MD, has joined its practice.

Prior to joining Rothman, Alberta was at North Jersey Orthopaedic Clinic with a focus on shoulder, elbow and knee surgery. According to a press release, he will to continue to see patients at his Glen Rock and Rutherford, New Jersey locations.
“Dr. Alberta’s addition to Rothman Orthopaedic Institute is key to our practice as we expand into Northern New Jersey,” Alexander R. Vaccaro, MD, PhD, MBA, president of Rothman Orthopaedic Institute, said in the release. “He was born and raised in the area and has an impeccable reputation in the communities he serves. His knowledge of the marketplace and its patients will prove invaluable to all of us. We anticipate a seamless integration and many years of successful partnership.”
Alberta is a member of the American Shoulder and Elbow Society. He has authored several peer-reviewed journal articles and orthopedic textbook chapters. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, American Shoulder and Elbow Surgeons, American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine and New England Shoulder and Elbow Society. Alberta is president-elect for the New Jersey Orthopaedic Society.
