Heraeus Medical recently announced its PALACOS R&R+G pro All-in-One Fixation System. The new system allows for integration of PALACOS bone cement into a ready-to-mix closed vacuum system.

According to a company press release, the new system requires fewer steps and less time to prepare, simplifying and adding standardization to joint arthroplasty procedures. Vacuum mixing is also purported to reduce porosity, improve cement homogeneity and strengthen the cement-prosthesis interface.

“The benefits of PALACOS pro support our mission to continuously provide solutions that lead to improved outcomes for patients undergoing joint arthroplasty procedures,” said Devin Childers, vice president and general manager of Heraeus Medical, in the release.
