Internationally recognized sarcoma surgeon and scientist R. Lor Randall was named chair of the department of orthopedic surgery and the David Linn Endowed Chair in orthopedic surgery at University of California, Davis Health.
“Sarcoma patients are dealing with a life-changing disease that takes much more than skill to heal,” Ann Madden Rice, CEO of UC Davis Medical Center, said in a press release. “Dr. Randall has the combination of empathy, expertise and commitment to continually improve care that matches our vision and will bring our team to new levels of excellence.”
Randall now leads 70 UC Davis Health surgeons, physicians, researchers and trainees who provide specialty care for musculoskeletal injuries and diseases.
