EFORT Expert Meet Expert Forum on periprosthetic fractures

The treatment of periprosthetic fractures is a challenge with increasing incidence. With decreased bone quality and numerous comorbidities of the patient, the main question is whether the fracture can be fixed with an osteosynthesis or if the implant needs to be revised with respect to the stability of the implant.
ExMEx 2018 is taking place in Tübingen, Germany on 27 and 28 September. Within EFORT, we favor exchanges of experiences in the treatment of periprosthetic fractures in different body areas from expert-to-expert in an open, interactive atmosphere.
Well-known international and national orthopaedic and trauma faculty will present state-of-the-art lectures regarding the treatment algorithm for the most common fracture entities.
