KOLOA, Hawaii – At Orthopedics Today Hawaii 2018, Steven J. MacDonald, MD, FRCSC, spoke about the use of tranexamic acid in total joint arthroplasty.
“The advantage of using [tranexamic acid] orally is a significant cost saving. As we are in multimodal analgesia, you can see the benefit of that being part of the preoperative program,” he said.
